Paihia and our First Exciting Parts of New Zealand!

We are about to leave our hotel in Paihia that is in the northeast of New Zealand and drive for about 4 hours until we get to our new hotel in Warkworth, outside of Auckland. We have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It is right by the Pacific Ocean so we got to swim in there a little, but the water was pretty cold. While we were here we got to go out in a boat for for a few hours on a tour to see some dolphins. Also we rode a tour bus all over the top of the country and along the way we stopped at some sand dunes and went boogie-boarding in the sand! The sand was really hot and burned the sole of your foot. That was probably my favorite part of staying in this city.

On the way to this city we stopped to see a water fall. At the water fall there was a rope you could use to swing into the river, no one actually did it but it would have been cool to see. Today we are going to stop at a Kauri forest. Kauri trees are really big and all of them are really old.

Below are some photos that my family took of the past couple of days.
